A shameful incident has come to light from Dumka, the sub-capital of Jharkhand. An incident of gangrape occurred with a Spanish woman on a bike tour. The incident took place in the Hansdiha police station area of Dumka. The police have taken three people into custody in this case. All the arrested youths are said to be residents of the Hansdiha police station area. The police are investigating the matter.

Dumka: An incident of gangrape with a foreign woman has come to light in the Hansdiha police station area of Dumka, Jharkhand. The victim, a resident of Spain, had come to India on a tourist visa with her husband for a bike tour. On Friday night, during their stay in Kurmahaat, the incident of gangrape occurred while sleeping in a tent. After raping her, all the accused fled towards Bhagalpur on bikes.

The couple arrived in India on a tourist visa from Spain. They had traveled from Spain to Pakistan and then arrived in Bangladesh. From there, they reached Dumka in Jharkhand. They had set up a tent in the key village of the Hansdiha police station area. 8 to 10 people were involved in the gangrape incident. The couple was supposed to go to Nepal from Jharkhand.
Spanish woman was on a bike tour with her husband –
According to information received, the Spanish woman was on a bike tour with her husband. They were heading towards Bhagalpur while passing through Dumka. However, around 12 o’clock at night, she slept in a secluded place near the Hansdiha market. During this time, some local youths reached there. The youths raped the woman collectively and then assaulted her.
The victim was admitted to a local hospital
After the incident, the victim has been admitted to the Saraiahata CHC for treatment. Meanwhile, the police are investigating the case. Interrogations are being conducted with the arrested people. It has been reported that late at night, SP Pitanbar Kherwar also reached the spot and took information about the incident. The police have obtained important information from the interrogation of the three people taken into custody in this case.
Chaos in Assembly as BJP MLAs Protest, Action Hindered Meanwhile, there was chaos in the assembly over the incident of gangrape with a foreign woman in Dumka. BJP MLA Amit Mandal accused the opposition of providing political protection to the accused. He demanded action against the SP of Dumka. The BJP MLA said that eight to ten accused had raped the foreign woman, which has brought disgrace not only to Jharkhand but to the entire country. Due to the uproar by opposition members, the proceedings of the assembly were adjourned by the Speaker until 12 noon.
