Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met with women from Sandeshkhali who have accused Sheikh Shahjahan, a suspended Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader, of sexual assault. This meeting occurred following a public rally at Barasat in the North 24 Parganas district, where Sandeshkhali is located. Sources indicate that the women expressed their ordeal to PM Modi, who listened to them with empathy.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with female victims from Sandeshkhali. They shared their experiences, and PM patiently listened to them, offering support akin to a father figure. The victims were deeply emotional, finding solace in PM Modi’s understanding,” stated BJP sources.

Sandeshkhali has been embroiled in unrest since multiple women came forward with allegations of sexual assault against Sheikh Shahjahan and his associates.

Earlier today, PM Modi criticized the TMC government for allegedly shielding the accused in the Sandeshkhali case, describing it as a “matter of shame.” Addressing a women’s rally in Barasat, PM Modi reiterated BJP’s commitment to women’s empowerment and safety.

“Under TMC’s governance, the women of this region have suffered. The incidents in Sandeshkhali are deeply shameful, yet the TMC government seems indifferent to your plight. TMC prioritizes safeguarding perpetrators over addressing the concerns of the victims. Both the High Court and the Supreme Court have condemned their actions. TMC leaders have inflicted atrocities upon women from marginalized communities. The TMC government trusts its leaders more than it trusts the women of Bengal,” remarked the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, Shahjahan was apprehended by the West Bengal Police on February 29 after evading authorities for over 50 days. Following his arrest, the TMC suspended Shahjahan from the party for six years.

“Google Issues Apology to Government Over Gemini’s Inconsistent Results on PM Modi”

NEW DELHI: American tech giant Google issued an apology to the government for the unsubstantiated comments made by its AI platform Gemini regarding PM Modi, acknowledging its platform as ‘unreliable,’ Minister of State for IT & Electronics Rajeev Chandrasekhar informed TOI.

“We had sent them a notice, seeking an explanation on the unsubstantiated results thrown up by Gemini regarding a particular query on PM Modi. They replied, stating, ‘Sorry, the platform is unreliable,'” the minister revealed, coinciding with the government’s announcement that AI platforms will now require a ‘permit’ to operate in the country. “That’s an inadequate response,” criticized the minister, highlighting a concerning trend among AI platforms offering ‘consumer solutions’ during trial phases.

The minister emphasized that India cannot serve as a testing ground for AI platforms, particularly as they face increasing global scrutiny for providing biased, misinformed, or unverified results. “AI data is being released from labs straight onto the public internet, without proper testing or safeguards. Then, when caught, they apologize, citing unreliability.”

Citing Google’s Gemini as an example, he stated, “Google Gemini is a prime example. They transitioned from the lab to the public internet without fear of consequences. And when confronted, they dismiss it, claiming the information is unreliable.”

The minister underscored that the Indian government will not permit underdeveloped platforms to offer full-fledged services without proper disclosures to users regarding potential misinformation or unlawfulness.
“We’ve made it clear that the Indian internet is not a testing ground. If you’re transitioning from the lab and it’s still unreliable, you must include a disclaimer. Users must be explicitly informed through consent forms and terms of use that this platform is under trial and may produce inaccurate or unlawful content.”

The minister emphasized that AI platforms cannot treat India as an extension of their research and development laboratories. “Indian internet and consumers cannot be considered mere testing grounds. Respect for Indian consumers, our digital citizens, is paramount. It is imperative for AI platforms to explicitly warn Indian users about potential errors, unreliability, and inaccuracies in their platforms. Users must be fully aware and informed before engaging with such platforms.”

Furthermore, the minister highlighted the legal repercussions for AI platforms found violating Indian IT and criminal laws. “The Indian legal framework, including the IT Act and IT Rules, clearly delineates 12 types of unlawful content. If AI platforms generate such unlawful content, they cannot claim unreliability as a defense. Prosecution will ensue.”

The minister condemned Gemini’s dissemination of unverified and unsubstantiated results as “reckless, irresponsible, and disrespectful” towards Indian consumers. “Taking Indian digital citizens for granted will not be tolerated, and appropriate measures will be taken to address such behavior.”

The government’s recent advisory for AI-led startups underscores the importance of labeling unverified information as potentially false and error-prone. This advisory follows a previous notice issued nearly two-and-a-half months ago regarding deepfakes, in response to numerous instances of synthetically-generated content infiltrating social media and online platforms.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the world’s first Vedic clock at the Jantar Mantar observatory in Ujjain, a city known as the center for astronomical calculations, on Thursday. The Vedic clock holds significance not only for astrologers but also for the religious city of Ujjain, attracting visitors from far and wide.

The installation of the world’s first Vedic clock in the city, known as the abode of Lord Mahakal, will become a center of attraction for devotees. Ram Tiwari, the director of Maharaja Vikramaditya Research Institute, mentioned that the Vedic clock will gradually also provide horoscope predictions.

Pride for Ujjain One of the twelve Jyotirlingas, Ujjain has always been the center for astronomical calculations. The Tropic of Cancer passes through here, and it is considered the birthplace of the planet Mars. It is also from here that the Vikram Samvat calendar originated, which is used worldwide for timekeeping and auspicious occasions. Hence, the world’s first Vedic clock has been installed on an 80-foot tower in the Jivajirao Vedshala.

The specialty of this clock is that it will display a duration of 30 hours between one sunrise to another. Contrary to the Indian Standard Time, which has an hour of 48 minutes, this Vedic clock follows Vedic time and will also display different auspicious moments.

Operational via Mobile App;
Technician Sushil Gupta explained that our old method of timekeeping has been used to create this Vedic clock. This clock with Vedic calculations will display auspicious moments and can also be operated via a mobile app. Using a crane nearly 150 feet tall, the clock was installed on the watchtower. Testing of the clock will be conducted before its official operation.

Special Efforts by Mohan Yadav Dr. Mohan Yadav played a crucial role in installing the world’s first Vedic clock. He initiated efforts while serving as the Minister of Higher Education. This unique clock was made possible by his efforts. PM Modi and CM Yadav are scheduled to inaugurate it on March 1. Subsequently, Municipal Commissioner Ashish Pathak inspected the work of installing the Vedic clock and gathered information from Sushil Gupta, who is in charge of the installation work.

PM Modi Unveils Names of Four Gaganyaan Mission Astronauts at ISRO Center in Kerala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the world to the four astronauts-elect chosen for the Gaganyaan mission: Group Captain Prashanth Nair, Group Captain Angad Prathap, Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla. All four, who were short-listed four years ago, are Indian Air Force (IAF) test pilots from the Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE) in Bengaluru.

Initially, a significant number of test pilots had volunteered for the astronaut program, with 12 making it past the first selection level completed in September 2019. After rigorous rounds of selection, the Institute of Aerospace Medicine (IAM) and Isro finalized the quartet.

The journey to this point has seen setbacks, including the omission of a previously indicated test pilot, Chavan. However, the focus remains on the achievements and dedication of the chosen four.

Isro chairman S Somanath highlighted the completion of significant projects on time, marking substantial additions to Isro’s infrastructure. These projects include the PSLV integration facility, semi-cryogenics integrated engine and stage test facility, and Trisonic wind tunnel.

The path to selection involved extensive training, including a stint in Russia, despite delays induced by Covid-19. The four astronauts-elect have been undergoing various training modules in India, supported by partnerships with multiple agencies and armed forces.

PM Modi emphasized the need for cooperation and support for the astronauts-elect, acknowledging their sacrifices and the challenges ahead. He reiterated India’s commitment to indigenization in the space sector, fostering scientific temper, and empowering women in STEM.

प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के दौरान शिवसेना सेना संजय राउत और आदित्य ठाकरे भी उद्धव के साथ मौजूद थे। उद्धव ने बताया कि पीएम मोदी के साथ बैठक बेहद लाभदायी रही। महाराष्ट्र सीएम ने कहा कि पीएम मोदी ने भरोसा दिलाया है कि सीएए से किसी को डरने की जरूरत नहीं है और संसद में केंद्र ने स्पष्ट किया है कि एनआरसी पूरे देश में लागू नहीं होगी। उन्होंने कहा, ‘ एनपीआर, एनआरसी और सीएए पर भी पीएम मोदी से चर्चा हुई। सामना के माध्यम से शिवसेना ने अपनी भूमिका स्पष्ट कर दी थी। सीएए पड़ोसी देशों के पीड़ित अल्पसंख्यकों को नागरिकता देने का कानून नहीं है। एनआरसी को लेकर केंद्र ने भूमिका स्पष्ट की यह पूरे देश में नहीं है और असम में चलेगा।’

एनपीआर से नहीं छिनेगा अधिकार
उद्धव ने एनपीआर को लेकर पूछे गए सवाल पर कहा, ‘एनपीआर में किसी को घर से नहीं निकाला जाएगा। यह वैसे ही जैसे हर 10 साल पर जनगणना होती है।अगर हमें लगा कि एनपीआर खतरनाक है तो बात होगी। मैंने राज्य की जनता से कहा है कि किसी का भी अधिकार नहीं छीनने दिया जाएगा।’

शाहीनबाग में लोगों को भड़काया जा रहा
उद्धव ठाकरे ने दिल्ली के शाहीनबाग में 2 महीने से ज्यादा वक्त से नागरिकता संशोधन कानून (सीएए) के खिलाफ चल रहे विरोध प्रदर्शन पर कहा कि वहां लोगों को भड़काया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा, ‘वहां लोगों से मिलने की जरूरत है। विरोध क्यों कर रहे हैं पहले यह स्पष्ट होना चाहिए। नेताओं को समझने की जरूरत होती है।’ वहीं, जब पत्रकारों ने उनसे पूछा कि आपके मुताबिक शाहीनबाग में लोगों को भड़काया जा रहा है, जबकि आपके सहयोगी कांग्रेस के नेता भी वहां पहुंचे हैं, आपको क्या लगता है कौन भड़का रहा है? इस सवाल पर बचते हुए उद्धव ने कहा, ‘मुझे नहीं पता, मैं दिल्ली में नहीं रहता।’

उल्लेखनीय है कि सीएम पद की शपथ लेने के बाद ठाकरे ने कहा था कि वह ‘बड़े भाई’ नरेंद्र मोदी से मिलने दिल्ली पहुंचेंगे। ठाकरे के ऑफिस ने मुलाकात के बाद तस्वीरें शेयर कर ट्वीट किया, ‘उद्धव बालासाहेब ठाकरे ने दिल्ली में पीएम से आज शिष्टाचार मुलाकात की।’ अक्टूबर 2019 में हुए महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा चुनाव में बीजेपी सबसे बड़ी के रूप में उभरने के बाद भी सरकार नहीं बना पाई थी। सीएम पद को लेकर पूर्व सहयोगी शिवसेना से सहमति न बन पाने के कारण उसे सत्ता से दूर रहना पड़ा। बाद में शिवसेना ने एनसीपी और कांग्रेस के सहयोग से सरकार बनाई। इस दौरान बीजेपी और शिवसेना नेताओं के बीच वाकयुद्ध देखने को भी मिला। शिवसेना और बीजेपी के राजनीतिक संबंध चाहे जैसे भी रहे हों, लेकिन पीएम मोदी और उद्धव ठाकरे के आपसी रिश्ते अच्छे बताए जाते हैं।

पीटीआई की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, उद्धव गृह कांग्रेस की अंतरिम अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी से भी उनके आवास पर मुलाकात करेंगे। इसके अतिरिक्त वह गृह मंत्री अमित शाह और बीजेपी के वयोवृद्ध नेता एल के आडवाणी से भी मिलेंगे।

गुजरात में तीन घंटे बिताएंगे अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप, प्रति मिनट का खर्च 55 लाख रुपये

डोनाल्ड ट्रंप 24 फरवरी से दो दिन के लिए भारत दौरे पर आ रहे हैं। पहले दिन वह गुजरात के अहमदाबाद शहर आएंगे। यहां वह करीब तीन घंटे बिताएंगे और उनके स्वागत के लिए तैयारियां जोरशोर से चल रही हैं। एक अनुमान है कि तीन घंटे के ट्रंप के लिए प्रशासन को 100 करोड़ रुपये तक खर्च करने पड़ रहे हैं।

अहमदाबाद नगर निगम और अहमदाबाद शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण मिलकर सड़कों को सुंदर बनाने के लिए करीब सौ करोड़ रुपये खर्च कर रहे हैं। मोटेरा स्टेडियम से लौटने के लिए एयरपोर्ट तक खासतौर से बनाई जा रही 1.5 किलोमीटर लंबी सड़क पर ही करीब 60 करोड़ रुपये खर्च हुए हैं। इस रूट और स्थान के सौंदर्यीकरण के लिए 8 करोड़ का बजट आंवटित किया गया।

अंग्रेजी अखबार ‘टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया’ की खबर के अनुसार इस हाई प्रोफाइल दौरे पर गुजरात सरकार के कम से कम 100 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होंगे। यानि एक मिनट में करीब 55 लाख रुपये। ट्रंप के अहमदाबाद दौरे की तैयारियों में जुटे शीर्ष अधिकारियों ने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री विजय रूपाणी ने साफ कह दिया है कि स्वागत में बजट कहीं से भी आड़े नहीं आना चाहिए।

रूपाणी सरकार को उठाना होगा ज्यादा खर्च

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप की गुजरात यात्रा का काफी खर्च केंद्र सरकार उठाने को तैयार है, लेकिन फिर भी राज्य सरकार को ज्यादा खर्च उठाना होगा। एक अधिकारी के मुताबिक सभी विभागों को हर तरह के लॉजिस्टिक का इस्तेमाल करने के लिए किसी प्रकार की अनुमति लेनी नहीं होगी।

ट्रंप के रोड शो में तैनात होंगे 10,000 पुलिसकर्मी

अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की गुजरात में 24 फरवरी को होने वाले रोड शो के दौरान 10,000 पुलिस कर्मियों को तैनात किया गया है। वहीं, 25 वरिष्ठ आईपीएस अधिकारी इन जवानों का नेतृत्व करेंगे। एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने शनिवार को इस बात की जानकारी दी।

अपनी पहली दो दिवसीय भारत यात्रा के दौरान, ट्रंप अहमदाबाद में एक रोड शो में भाग लेंगे और साबरमती आश्रम भी जाएंगे। वह मोटेरा में नव-निर्मित क्रिकेट स्टेडियम का उद्घाटन करने वाले हैं।

डिप्टी कमिश्नर ऑफ पुलिस (कंट्रोल रूम) विजय पटेल ने बताया कि 65 सहायक आयुक्तों, 200 निरीक्षकों और 800 उप-निरीक्षकों सहित 10,000 से अधिक पुलिस कर्मियों को शहर में रणनीतिक स्थानों पर तैनात किया जाएगा। इस तैनाती में संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका की गुप्त सेवा के अधिकारियों और राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा गार्ड (एनएसजी) और विशेष सुरक्षा समूह (एसपीजी) के अधिकारी भी शामिल होंगे।

वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने कहा ने कहा कि एनएसजी की एक एंटी-स्नाइपर टीम भी मार्ग पर तैनात रहेगी। पुलिस बम निरोधक दस्ते ने पूरे मार्ग को पहले ही स्कैन करना शुरू कर दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि पुलिस होटलों में ठहरे नए मेहमानों के बारे में जानकारी की जांच करने के लिए एक विशेष सॉफ्टवेयर का उपयोग कर रही है, खासकर उन लोगों के लिए जो विदेशों से आए हैं।

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के इस महीने के अंत में भारत दौरे से पहले अमेरिकी सिनेट के चार वरिष्ठ सांसदों ने अमेरिका के विदेश मंत्री माइक पोम्पियो को खत लिखकर कश्मीर में पिछले छह महीने से ज्यादा समय से इंटरनेट बैन को लेकर चिंता जाहिर की है. जम्मू-कश्मीर से अनुच्छेद 370 हटाए जाने के बाद जम्मू-कश्मीर में इंटरनेट बैन कर दिया गया था. इसके साथ ही इस खत में हिरासत में रखे गए राजनेताओं का भी जिक्र किया गया है. अपने खत में सांसदों ने नागरिकता संशोधन कानून और सीएए का भी जिक्र किया है, जिसको लेकर देश के कई हिस्सों में प्रदर्शन हो रहे हैं. पिछले सप्ताह जम्मू-कश्मीर के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्रियों उमर अब्दुल्ला और महबूबा मुफ्ती की हिरासत अवधि बढ़ाने के लिए उनके खिलाफ पब्लिक सेफ्टी एक्ट लगाया था.

दो डेमोक्रेट्स और दो रिपब्लिकन सिनेटरों की ओर से लिखे गए खत में कहा गया है कि भारत सरकार कश्मीर में लगातार इंटरनेट पर बैन लगाए हुए है. भारत ने किसी लोकतंत्र की ओर से अब तक सबसे ज्यादा लंबे समय तक इंटरनेट पर बैन लगाया है. इससे चिकित्सा देखभाल, व्यवसाय और शिक्षा में 7 मिलियन लोगों को परेशानी आ रही है. पोम्पियो को लिखे गए खत में कहबा गया है कि बड़ी राजनेताओं सहित सैंकड़ों कश्मीरियों को एहतियातन हिरासत में रखा गया है. साथ ही कहा है कि ‘इन कदमों का गंभीर परिणाम होगा.’

नागरिकता संशोधन कानून का जिक्र करते हुए खत में लिखा गया है कि भारत सरकार ने कुछ ऐसे कदम भी उठाए हैं, जो कुछ धार्मिक अल्पसंख्यकों के अधिकार और देश के धर्मनिरपेक्ष चरित्र को खतरे में डालते हैं.

बता दें, अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के आमंत्रण पर 24-25 फरवरी के दो दिवसीय भारत दौरे पर होंगे. अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति गुजरात के अहमदाबाद भी जाएंगे और वहां एक स्टेडियम में पीएम मोदी के साथ जनसभा को संबोधित करेंगे. पीएम मोदी ने बुधवार को अपने ट्वीट में कहा कि अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप की भारत यात्रा विशेष है तथा यह भारत..अमेरिका मैत्री को और मजबूत बनाने की दिशा में अहम कदम साबित होगी.

वहीं, व्हाइट हाउस द्वारा ट्रंप की भारत यात्रा की तारीखों की घोषणा के एक दिन बाद राष्ट्रपति ने अपने ओवल कार्यालय में संवाददाताओं से कहा, ‘वह (मोदी) बहुत भद्र पुरुष हैं और मैं भारत जाने को उत्सुक हूं. हम इस माह के अंत में जाएंगे.’ ट्रंप ने एक प्रश्न के उत्तर में संकेत दिए कि वह भारत के साथ व्यापार समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने के इच्छुक हैं. उन्होंने कहा,‘‘ वे (भारतीय) कुछ करना चाहते हैं और हम देखेंगे…अगर हम कोई सही समझौता कर सके तो उसे करेंगे.’

दोनों देश मतभेदों का समाधान करने और व्यापार को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक व्यापार समझौते पर चर्चा कर रहे हैं. नयी दिल्ली में एक अधिकारी ने कहा कि राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप की यात्रा से पहले भारत और अमेरिका प्रस्तावित व्यापार समझौते को लेकर गहन विमर्श कर रहे हैं. अधिकारी ने हालांकि कहा कि अब तक यह साफ नहीं है कि ट्रंप की यात्रा के दौरान समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर होंगे या नहीं. पिछले कुछ सप्ताहों में वाणिज्य मंत्री पीयूष गोयल और अमेरिकी व्यापार प्रतिनिधि रॉबर्ट लाइथिजर के बीच टेलीफोन पर कई दौर की बात हो चुकी है.

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने अपने ट्वीट में कहा, ‘भारत और अमेरिका के मजबूत संबंध न केवल हमारे नागरिकों के लिए, बल्कि पूरे विश्व के लिए बेहतर होंगे.’ पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि भारत और अमेरिका लोकतंत्र तथा बहुलतावाद के प्रति साझी प्रतिबद्धता रखते हैं और दोनों देश व्यापक मुद्दों पर करीबी सहयोग कर रहे हैं. प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, ‘अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप की भारत यात्रा विशेष है तथा यह भारत..अमेरिका मैत्री को और मजबूत बनाने की दिशा में अहम कदम साबित होगी.’

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने बुधवार को कहा कि वह बेहद खुश है कि अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प और उनकी पत्नी इस महीने भारत की यात्रा पर आ रहे हैं और यहां उनका भव्य एवं यादगार स्वागत किया जायेगा. प्रधानमंत्री ने अपने ट्वीट में कहा, ‘‘अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प और उनकी पत्नी के 24-25 फरवरी को भारत यात्रा पर आने को लेकर बहुत खुश हूं, हमारे माननीय अतिथियों का यादगार स्वागत किया जाएगा.” मोदी ने कहा कि अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प की भारत यात्रा विशेष है तथा यह भारत..अमेरिका मैत्री को और मजबूत बनाने की दिशा में अहम कदम होगा.

दोनों देशों की सरकारों ने कहा है कि ट्रम्प के पहले दौरे से भारत-अमेरिका के बीच द्विपक्षीय संबंध और प्रगाढ़ होंगे. व्हाइट हाउस की प्रेस सचिव स्‍टेफनी ग्रिशम ने बताया कि ट्रम्प की पत्नी मेलानिया ट्रम्प भी उनके साथ भारत जाएंगी. राष्ट्रपति 24-25 फरवरी को भारत दौरे पर होंगे. उधर, नयी दिल्ली में भारतीय विदेश मंत्रालय ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के आमंत्रण पर राष्ट्रपति ट्रम्प अपनी पत्नी के साथ भारत दौरे पर आएंगे.

ट्रम्प और प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने इस सप्ताहांत फोन पर बात की थी जिसमें दोनों नेताओं ने इस बात पर सहमति जताई कि यह यात्रा भारत-अमेरिका रणनीतिक साझेदारी को और सुदृढ़ करेगी तथा अमेरिकी-भारतीय लोगों के बीच मजबूत एवं स्थायी संबंधों को रेखांकित करेगी.
