Indogma Film Festival 2022 begins at JC Bose University

Mr. Chandan Mehta, Director of the Indogma Film Festival has warmly welcomed Mr. Sandeep Marwah. Renowned international media personality, Founder, and President of the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) Mr. Marwah was the chief guest of the session.

The Vice-Chancellor of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar was addressing the inaugural session of the three-day Indogma Film Festival 2022, organized by Cinemehta Productions in collaboration with the Department of Communication and Media Technology (CMT). On this occasion, Director General of Indogma Dr. Mukesh Gambhir, Registrar Dr. S.K. Garg, Chairperson of CMT Dr. Pawan Singh Malik, Mr. Rakesh Roshan Roy (Convener Jivika, Delhi NCR), and Film & TV artist Dinesh Sehgal were also present in the session. The theme song of Indogama will also be launched on the occasion.

Addressing the session, Mr. Sandeep Marwah appreciated the initiative taken by the organizers to conduct such a wonderful event and was impressed by the participation of students in the festival. He also congratulated the Media students and faculty members on the occasion of National Press Day. He emphasized the aspects of feeling and thinking in filmmaking. Describing filmmaking as an art, he said that Media and Entertainment are two momentous for building Cinematic Fabric. The cinema is nothing but the reflection of our society.

The opening ceremony began with the Indogma theme song composed by Sachin-Manish Bhatia, arranged by Vineet Sharma, Lyrics by Gagan Sharma, and beautifully sung by Shri N. Theme Song edited by Aryan Sharma and Directed by Chandan Mehta.

Earlier, Mukesh Gambhir from Indogma Film Festival welcomed the guests and the participants. He gave a brief introduction to the three-day program. He elucidated that Festivals such as Indogma refer to the inherent qualities that go into production. He also appreciated the efforts of the University for hosting such big-scale ceremonies.

In addition, the documentary “Naam Namak Nishan” written and directed by Mr. Ashish Srivastava has premiered. Which was based on the Indian Army. The QA session was conducted on this documentary. Master class on “How to make low budget films and documentaries” by well-known writer and director Mr. Ashish Srivastava and useful tips for media students. He also shared his journey while making the documentary. The session was attended by mass media students from various colleges like Manav Rachna, DAV Centenary College, Government Women’s College, and JC Bose UST, YMCA.

On the inaugural day of the Indogma film festival, regional and documentary films were screened. in the screening national and international filmmakers, writers, technicians, and entertainment industry professionals participated. The students of the department also presented cultural performances.

Chairperson of the CMT Department, Dr. Pawan Singh Malik apprised that a series of activities will be organized during the three-day Festival which would include the screening of Regional, Animated, and Documentary Films, Master Classes, Awards Distribution, and Celebrities Facilitation.

On Tuesday, the star cast of the web series ‘Jholachhap‘ reached Noida Media Club located in Sector 29, Noida. In which the film’s famous comedians Mushtaq Khan, Chittaranjan Tripathi, and Mehak Manwani along with the director of the series Jyoti Prakash also reached. Describing the series, the director said that the film is based on a true incident. This series of humor and satire is inspired by a true incident in Orissa, based on how quacks and quacks doctors in the country take advantage of the lack of awareness in villages and small towns. He said that even today in villages and small towns, people do not trust government health centers but have hope only in quacks. Due to this many types of incidents keep happening in society every day.

Famous actor Mushtaq Khan told that this is his debut on OTT. Mushtaq Khan, who has played various roles in Bollywood, said that after hearing the story from the director, he saw a social outlook in it. Due to this, he made up his mind to do this film. Khan told me that he has played the role of a quack in the series. The experiences he had while playing this character really make him think.

The film’s actress Mehak Manwani told that she is playing the role of MBBS doctor in the village community health center in the series. The distrust that the people of the village have for the government hospital and the trust in the quack doctor. An attempt has been made to send a message about him with an accident and satire. At the same time, actor of the series Chittaranjan Tripathi said that he also played the role of a quackery doctor in the series, which was very challenging. It was really a big challenge to do quacks and fake doctors with the people of the village. During the press conference, director Jyoti Prakash told that the series has been released on the OTT platform Voot. The series consists of 7 episodes in total. This drama comedy is also being liked a lot.

The film stars Prabhakar Sharma, Lovekush Kundu, Jai Deep Kadian, Shalini Mishra, Madanlal Azad, Jaspal Kaur and Chandan Mehta in various roles. The series aims to entertain as well as highlight the health crisis in rural India.
