Prajwal Revanna Sex Abuse Case: Suspended JD(S) MP to Land in India Tomorrow. Here’s What to Expect

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is prepared to arrest the suspended MP upon arrival at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport.

Prajwal Revanna, the suspended JD(S) MP from Karnataka’s Hassan, is scheduled to land in India on May 31. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara informed on Thursday that the suspended MP would be arrested on arrival by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday.

According to reports, Prajwal Revanna has booked a business-class ticket on a Lufthansa Munich-Bengaluru flight. The flight is expected to land at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru at 1:30 am on May 31.

Prajwal Revanna is an Indian politician, the member of the 17th Lok Sabha from Hassan Constituency and is standing for re-election. He is the third youngest member of parliament in India.
  1. Prajwal Revanna, suspended JD(S) MP, is set to land in Bengaluru on May 31 and will be arrested by the SIT upon arrival.
  2. The Ministry of External Affairs is taking steps to revoke Prajwal Revanna’s diplomatic passport amid the ongoing investigation.
  3. Thousands participated in the ‘Hassan Chalo’ protest, demanding justice and accountability in light of the sexual abuse allegations against Prajwal Revanna.

What happens when Prajwal lands in India?

A team from the SIT is camping at the Kempegowda International Airport to arrest Prajwal Revanna as soon as he lands on May 31. As per procedure, the immigration officials will detain the grandson of former Prime Minister of India HD Deve Gowda and hand him over to the SIT, as there is a lookout notice against him.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) informed that the government has initiated action to revoke Prajwal Revanna’s diplomatic passport. “A show cause notice was issued to the passport holder on May 23, giving him ten working days to respond to our notice. We await a response and will take further action per the rules,” said MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

What happens if Prajwal Revanna does not return?

According to Karnataka Home Minister, Prajwal Revanna’s passport will be canceled unless he lands in India on May 31. Minister G Parameshwara has made it clear that when Prajwal Revanna returns, he will face arrest, and the full force of the legal process will be set in motion.

Speaking to the press, the Karnataka minister explained, “A warrant has been issued against him as per the law. It is the responsibility of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to execute this warrant.” He added, “He (Prajwal) himself has said in the video statement that he will appear before SIT on May 31 at 10 am, not us. So I feel that he will come.”

If Prajwal Revanna doesn’t come to India, the Karnataka government will request that the Indian government cancel the JD(S) MP’s passport. “We will again request Interpol through CBI, as the state government cannot do it directly; we will have to do it through Government of India agencies,” he said.

Recently, Interpol issued a Blue Corner notice against Prajwal Revanna after a video was released by the sexual abuse accused from Hungary.

Prajwal Revanna’s sexual abuse case

Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of JD(S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda and the NDA candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha segment, is facing charges of sexually abusing multiple women. Allegedly explicit videos involving Prajwal Revanna were reportedly circulated in Hassan ahead of Lok Sabha polls there on April 26.

Thousands take part in ‘Hassan Chalo’ protest

A sea of demonstrators flooded the streets of Karnataka, clamoring for justice and accountability in the wake of allegations against suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a cash reward of Rs. 10 lakh for any information leading to the identification of the perpetrator responsible for the Rameshwaram Cafe blast in Bengaluru. The investigation, conducted under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Substances Act, is being handled by the Bengaluru Police. The NIA assured that the identity of the informant would remain confidential.

The Ministry of Home Affairs recently transferred the investigation of the Rameshwaram Cafe blast to the NIA. The explosion occurred on March 1 at the cafe during the busy lunch hour, injuring several individuals. The Bengaluru Police had previously filed a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Substances Act regarding the explosion.

According to ongoing police investigations, the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) with a timer, as observed in CCTV footage where a suspect is seen placing a bag inside the cafe. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara had assured the public of the imminent arrest of the suspect.

Shortly after the cafe blast, two emails were sent to high-ranking officials, including the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Home Minister, and the City Commissioner of Police, warning of potential further explosions targeting VVIPs and crowded areas in Karnataka. One of the emails demanded a sum of $2.5 million to prevent similar incidents.

Informant’s identity will be kept confidential,” the investigation agency said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The sender identified themselves as ‘Shahid Khan’ using the email address ‘Shahidkhan10786@protonmail.com‘. Law enforcement authorities are currently seeking details from Proton, a Swiss-based software company, to further investigate the origin of the email. The contents of the emails outlined threats of explosions on buses, trains, taxis, temples, hotels, and public areas throughout Karnataka if the demanded amount was not provided.

The investigation into the Rameshwaram Cafe blast and the subsequent threat emails underscores the urgent need for collaboration between law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety and bring those responsible to justice.

PM Modi Meets Women Alleging Sexual Assault by Sheikh Shahjahan in Sandeshkhali

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met with women from Sandeshkhali who have accused Sheikh Shahjahan, a suspended Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader, of sexual assault. This meeting occurred following a public rally at Barasat in the North 24 Parganas district, where Sandeshkhali is located. Sources indicate that the women expressed their ordeal to PM Modi, who listened to them with empathy.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with female victims from Sandeshkhali. They shared their experiences, and PM patiently listened to them, offering support akin to a father figure. The victims were deeply emotional, finding solace in PM Modi’s understanding,” stated BJP sources.

Sandeshkhali has been embroiled in unrest since multiple women came forward with allegations of sexual assault against Sheikh Shahjahan and his associates.

Earlier today, PM Modi criticized the TMC government for allegedly shielding the accused in the Sandeshkhali case, describing it as a “matter of shame.” Addressing a women’s rally in Barasat, PM Modi reiterated BJP’s commitment to women’s empowerment and safety.

“Under TMC’s governance, the women of this region have suffered. The incidents in Sandeshkhali are deeply shameful, yet the TMC government seems indifferent to your plight. TMC prioritizes safeguarding perpetrators over addressing the concerns of the victims. Both the High Court and the Supreme Court have condemned their actions. TMC leaders have inflicted atrocities upon women from marginalized communities. The TMC government trusts its leaders more than it trusts the women of Bengal,” remarked the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, Shahjahan was apprehended by the West Bengal Police on February 29 after evading authorities for over 50 days. Following his arrest, the TMC suspended Shahjahan from the party for six years.

Doctor Performs Vasectomy Instead of Gallbladder Surgery, Patient’s Future Plans Ruined in an Instant

A man arrived at the hospital to undergo surgery for his gallbladder, but due to the negligence of doctors, instead of performing the gallbladder surgery, they sterilized the man.

The incident occurred in Argentina, where 41-year-old Jorge Besto had gone to the Florencio Diaz Provincial Hospital in Cordoba for his gallbladder surgery. His operation was scheduled for February 28th. However, due to some reasons, his surgery was postponed until Wednesday, and here began the series of unfortunate events.

Gallbladder surgery turned into a vasectomy;
On the day of the surgery, hospital staff came to fetch Jorge from his room. Without asking him anything and without checking his chart, they took him to the operating room. The doctors also failed to verify his health chart, and quickly proceeded with Jorge’s operation.
Unbeknownst to the doctors, Jorge’s operation had been rescheduled for the next day, which was intended for another patient to undergo a vasectomy. Unfortunately, the doctors mistook Jorge for that patient and performed a vasectomy on him instead of the gallbladder surgery he needed.

Patient’s feet slipped under the ground after surgery;
Upon waking up after the operation, Jorge was unaware that he had been sterilized. It wasn’t until a doctor came to examine him that the truth came out. Seeing Jorge’s chart, the doctor informed him that instead of his gallbladder surgery, he had been sterilized by mistake. Upon hearing this, Jorge felt as if the ground had slipped from under his feet. Since Jorge had not yet undergone the gallbladder surgery, he was immediately taken back to the operating room for the correct procedure.

Doctors gave such a response to the patient;
After the second surgery, Jorge Besto wanted to know how his sterilization happened and whether it could be corrected or not. But no one gave him a clear answer. Doctors kept blaming each other. When the dispute between the doctors ended, they told Jorge Besto that if he wished, he could still become a father through artificial insemination. Sterilization could not be corrected now.

Patient expressed his pain after sterilization –
After this incident, Jorge said that no one here is taking responsibility. Doctors are saying that you can still become a father through artificial insemination. Gallbladder surgery was written in my health chart, they just had to read it. They didn’t even have to work hard for it. Still, in their negligence, they sterilized me.

Yash Mittal, the son of a businessman and a student at a Noida-based university, had been unaccounted for since Monday. His father, Deepak Mittal, alerted the authorities after receiving ransom demands of ₹6 crore for his son’s release.

Upon reviewing CCTV footage from the campus, police observed Yash leaving the university premises on Monday while engaged in a phone conversation. The call records led them to his friend Rachit. Upon interrogation, Rachit revealed that Yash often socialized with him, along with Shivam, Sushant, and Shubham.

“On February 26, they lured Yash to a field in Gajraula, located approximately 100 km away in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha, under the guise of a party. He joined them shortly after. “Rajasthan Woman Shot, Axed by Alleged Rapist; Two Accomplices Arrested”

A horrific incident unfolded in Rajasthan’s Kotputli-Behror district as a rape survivor and her brother were brutally attacked by the man who allegedly assaulted her, along with two accomplices. The survivor, riding home with her brother, fell victim to a spine-chilling assault, including gunshots, just 20 meters away from a local police station in Pragpura village.

The assailants, armed with an axe-like weapon, inflicted severe injuries on the woman and her brother before fleeing the scene. The survivor, enduring wounds to her head, legs, hands, and shoulders, is currently hospitalized in Jaipur for treatment.

Authorities swiftly acted, apprehending Mahipal Gurjar and Rahul Gurjar, the alleged accomplices, following the heinous attack. However, a disturbing turn in the narrative emerged when the main accused, Rajendra Yadav, was discovered at Jaipur’s SMS Hospital, critically injured. It remains unclear whether Yadav’s injuries resulted from an accident or a suicide attempt, with reports indicating the loss of one of his legs, possibly from encountering a train.

The ordeal traces back to June 2023 when the 24-year-old survivor lodged a complaint against Yadav, leading to his arrest and subsequent loss of employment. Despite being released on bail, Yadav resorted to threats, pressuring the survivor to retract her allegations. The recent assault, as indicated by the FIR, appears to be a vindictive act in response to her refusal.

While Mahipal and Rahul are in custody, Yadav remains at large, evading authorities. The police have registered an FIR against the accused under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, alongside provisions of the Arms Act.
