Purnia: Former Deputy CM of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav’s escort car met with an accident. The incident took place around 11:30 pm on Monday (February 26). The mishap occurred near a wedding hall on NH 131 A, Purnia-Katihar main road. The escort car had a driver and seven police personnel on board. These soldiers were returning to the police line after Jan Vishwas Yatra.

It is reported that the driver of the escort car died on the spot while the other six soldiers were injured. Not only that, but the out-of-control escort car crossed the divider and collided with a red Honda City coming from the opposite lane. As a result, five other people in the car were also injured.

The deceased driver was a resident of Sipahi Tola. The deceased driver has been identified as Moh. Halim, a resident of Sipahi Tola in the city. Meanwhile, the condition of three injured soldiers is said to be critical. Among the injured soldiers are Shambhu Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Naresh Kumar Singh, Ranjan Kumar, Angad Kumar, and Manish Kumar.

According to information, the people in the Honda City were traveling from Katihar to Farbisganj. Five people were in the car in total, including one woman and four men. The woman is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Line Bazar. After the incident, chaos ensued, and people gathered around. The higher authorities were also informed of this incident.
