- Ambush in Poonch: A soldier was killed and four others injured in a militant ambush on an Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy in Poonch on May 4. The militants attacked the convoy, prompting the Air Warriors to retaliate by returning fire.
- IAF Response: The IAF confirmed that five personnel sustained bullet injuries during the attack and were immediately evacuated to the nearest military hospital for medical treatment. Sadly, one of the Air Warriors succumbed to his injuries later.
- Evacuation Efforts: Officials reported that the injured personnel were airlifted to the Army hospital in Udhampur via helicopter for further medical attention. The swift evacuation highlights the military’s commitment to providing timely medical care to its personnel.
